These are the Manuals that I use and recommend for the repair and maintenance of the Holden HQ Statesman.
I’ve had a set of the genuine Factory Service Manuals since around 1982.
I have all Volumes except Vol 1, but that deals with Body and Sheetmetal, and as I am not a Panel Beater, I’ve lived without it.
The genuine Manuals are available from time to time on EBay and Facebook Marketplace, but the image shown is for a reproduction set which are available from the likes of Kingswood Country.
This Manual has been invaluable to me.
With this manual I have been able to identify what the original setup in the Engine Bay looked like with regards to Chock Pipes and Heater Hoses/Valve etc.
Unfortunately I don’t have an original hard copy, but I do have a PDF which I have made available on the Downloads page. Every time I see one for sale, it’s either really expensive, or someone else snaps it up before me.
You can download it here.
This is a great book explaining everything you need to know about Rochester Carby’s.
You can buy it on Amazon, or bookstores and other outlets.
